  “Ralph Bixby,” I said. My jaw was clenched and I tried to move my body away from Gloria. She wasn’t going to have any of that, though.

  “I heard you had quite the show the other day,” he said.

  “What do you mean?” I asked.

  “Your first session with Gloria. I must admit, I completely understand why you love being a therapist,” he said. He was a weasel, but a weasel with resources.

  “Oh, did you refer her?” I asked, trying to maintain my composure. Gloria wouldn’t stop what she was doing. She was on a mission and my head was fuzzy because my body loved what she was doing.

  Bixby laughed and then his voice got dead serious. “Yes, I did, but not for the reasons you may think. Gloria is obviously perfect the way she is. I wanted to call you out for the asshole you are; a man full of shit and so self-absorbed that you’ll take advantage of whatever vulnerable woman walks into your office.”

  “How do you know Gloria?” I asked.

  He didn’t answer my question. He merely said, “She’s good, isn’t she? I knew you couldn’t resist a hot bod like that. She’s been great relieving me these past few months while I wait to have sex with Lina. So good…it would be a shame for her to stop.”

  I felt disgusted by what Ralph was saying. He thought I was taking advantage of Gloria, but he clearly was. He used her for sexual gratification and to help in his vendetta against me. She was obviously clueless, truly enjoying what she was doing but also desperate for help to stop.

  “So, Gloria’s your mistress?” I asked. What a jerk! He had the nerve to get mad at Lina for thinking she was having an affair with me. Bixby was clearly the twisted one, the unfaithful one.

  Ralph laughed. “You think you’re so smart, you smug prick.”

  “You’re marrying Lina,” I said, not able to hide how much I despised this guy. “You should stop seeing Gloria. Lina doesn’t deserve to have someone cheating on her.”

  “What? And have sex with Lina?” Ralph asked. I couldn’t help but notice that the question made no sense. “Not before we get married.”

  “Why not?” I asked.

  “We can’t,” Ralph replied.

  “Don’t you want to? That makes no sense,” I said.

  “I want to very badly, so much it hurts. But I can’t. That’s why I have Gloria. She takes care of my kinkier needs, but Lina…she’s off limits.”

  “Because of Gloria?” I asked. “You make no sense, Bixby.”

  “I wouldn’t expect a predator like you to understand me,” Ralph said. “Lina wants to be with me, I can tell. And it’s been more intense since she met with you, which is unacceptable.” His voice turned angrier and less controlled.

  “Why not have sex with her then?” I asked. I would have given anything to have sex with this woman and her own fiancé was saying she was off limits. It made no sense. Something was going on. Did he have a VD maybe? Perhaps he was bi. What was it?

  I heard Bixby breath in deeply and then exhale. His voice went back to controlled. “Because, Dr. Session, it’s not part of the plan. That’s all I have to say about that. But now you have some explaining to do. What are you doing banging your own clients? I am going to shut down your little whorehouse of a practice and make sure you can never show your face in this town. Lina will be so disgusted with you that she’ll refuse to see you and realize what a good man I am. It won’t end with you, though. I will disgrace your father’s business…”

  I cut him off. “I get the idea of what you’re saying, Ralph, but there’s one thing you’re forgetting. It’s all consensual. Plus, many are here under the guise of needing treatment just so they can meet the may-I-quote ‘Most eligible bachelor in Seattle.’” I waited for Ralph to respond and looked down at Gloria’s dark hair, watching it move up and down as she continued to move up and down my cock. I was still hard but I was certainly too distracted to release.

  “I don’t see this the same way you do, Simon,” Bixby said to me. “You’re a scam doctor and a lowlife predator, taking advantage of women.”

  “And what are you going to do about it?” I asked, shaking my head.

  “I’m going to shut you down.”

  “I’ll fight you, Bixby. Don’t think for a minute that I’ll go down without trying.”

  “Is Gloria still going down on you?” he asked. Of course, she was, but I wasn’t going to satisfy him with an answer. “I’ll take your lack of silence as confirmation.

  “I wouldn’t expect any less. I’d never thought about you much before, not until Lina developed a fascination with you and your practice—enough to write a play. So, in order to protect my interests, I am very much looking forward to shutting you down to keep her from wandering into your little whorehouse, where you’ll take advantage of her innocence and snatch the prize that is mine to claim. So, consider yourself warned.”

  “Warned,” I mimicked. “You have no idea who you are dealing with, Bixby. I’m not some subservient person who needs you, or your money. You will not bring me down without a fight, and it’s a fight that you’ll lose. One where you may lose the girl, too. So, why don’t you consider yourself warned. It makes sense that Lina would find me fascinating and it’s a rather big understatement on your part. She’s practically salivating over a chance to sleep with me, Bixby. Your ploy of holding out on sex with her backfired, old friend. She’s hornier than you could ever imagine and I know how to help.”

  Before Bixby could answer back, there was a quick knock on the door and it flew open before I could say a word. My head whipped around and I saw an out of breath Lina standing there, stunned. She stared at me and then down at Gloria. Of course, Gloria was still almost completely naked and she was still going up and down on me. She looked up and flickered her tongue on the tip of my cock and smiled at Lina. “Hi,” she said all breathily.

  Fuck! This was not good.

  Finally Lina was able to talk. “I…I just came to warn you about...oh!!!” Lina stormed out of the room, her face bright red.

  I tried to push Gloria away again and she had gone back to sucking and was going harder. I thought she’d rip the skin off my cock if I resisted her. I forgot the phone was in my hand until I heard Bixby say, “Simon.” I was silent and he continued. “What just happened? I thought I heard Lina’s voice.”

  “Welcome to hell, Bixby. That was Lina and she saw Gloria. She may think I’m a pig, but in a short amount of time, she’ll know what a pig you are, too. I’m going to go find her.”

  I hung up the telephone and shoved Gloria back. “Never come to this office again, got it? I don’t know what your little game is, but it’s over.”

  “No, Simon, no,” she said. She tried to sound desperate but her eyes showed that she was pleased.

  She stood up and stared at me casually, assessing me. I quickly got dressed and ran out of the office, calling out to Brandi to never schedule Ms. Sanz in again. I had to find Lina quickly. I needed to explain. I looked in the hallway and she was nowhere to be seen. I ran to the elevator and heard it going down. If I was going to catch up with her, I’d have to take the stairs.

  It didn’t matter that I was disheveled, that one shirttail was hanging out while the other was tucked in. I ran for the stairs and pray I could get to Lina before she walk away from my building, before she forever walk away from me now and into that conniving Bixby’s arms to fulfill whatever sick plan he had for her.

  This was the moment of truth.

  I jumped down the stairs to each landing like I was some kind of spiderman or superhero able to leap long distances, until I was on the first floor.

  This was when I would find out if Lina truly cared for me or not.

  I ran out of the stairwell and into the lobby just in time to see Lina walking quickly out the glass and steel rotating door…just in time to see…

  Ralph Bixby waiting outside for her, standing there, in a bespoke suit, looking suave and debonair, cool like some kind of James Bond, with a sympathetic and indulging smile
on his face as Lina made her way over to him.

  His eyes fixed on mine through the glass doors and he lifted his cell phone to him ear. In my pocket, I realized I had Gloria’s cellphone ringing against my crotch. How did it get there, I could not remember. But Gloria must have slipped it in there when she left, evidence of her being with me.

  I answered the cellphone reluctantly.

  “Seems like you getting to tell Lina all about me failed. I hinted for her to go see you just now, right when I called you so there was no way she would suspect anything about me. Gloria played her part well in this game, didn’t see? I hate to see her go when I finally wed Lina or maybe I’ll keep her around. We’ll see. In any case, Simon, looks like I don’t have to shut down Sessions Enterprises after all when you can do it all yourself, including shutting down your own practice. You call yourself a true sex expert? Welcome to my world, Simon, I know more about sex than you ever will...and I love having lovely Lina be all a part of it when the time comes.”

  The call ended right when Lina fell into his arms and placed her face against his chest where he began stroking her hair.

  My heart froze and then dropped when I saw Lina lift her lips to Bixy’s lips, and they passionately kissed each other in a way it could only lead to one thing.

  Would Bixby finally have sex with Lina now? Would he reveal that dark monstrous side he hinted at finally? If so, I felt more of a need to save Lina more than ever.
